Ted Lasso star Becky Ann Baker is a remarkably recognizable actor and has been portraying diverse characters ever since the beginning of her career in 1985. Ann Baker is seventy-two years old as of now and is married to her actor husband, Dylan Baker. Both of them are natives of Kentucky. Over the years, Ann Baker has starred in numerous titles, with her on-screen appearances amounting to more than a hundred.

Ann Baker appeared on NBC's Freaks and Greeks as Jean Weir and was lauded for her performance. The other role for which she is known was that of Loreen Horvath on the HBO show Girls. Apart from these, Ann Baker has also starred in Star Trek: Voyager, Frasier, Sex and the City, L.A. Law, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, and more.

Jason Sudeikis on Ted Lasso

Ahead of the season 3 premiere of the Apple TV+ show back in 2023, Jason Sudeikis opened up about the show during an exclusive interview with Variety magazine. When asked about his preview of the third season, Sudeikis remarked:

"I’m just following the stories, I think we all are. It’s one of the lovely repercussions of the show having an audience. People want to want to hang out with these characters. In a first season, we didn’t know if people were going to like these guys and gals as much as we did. And then they did, and we got to investigate and explore those side characters, and the internal struggles within our main characters a little bit more in season two.”

He further added:

"For the Ted character, I think he’s just wondering, like, ‘What am I doing?' He got to spend six weeks with his son during the offseason, as we see at the beginning in the first episode of Season 3. He wants to know that what he’s doing is important enough to be away from something that is truly important, forging this relationship and co-parenting and raising his son Henry.”

It is fair to say that Ted and his mother Dottie share a somewhat awkward relationship. As Dottie paid Ted a surprise visit at his London home, Ted was initially taken aback and wished that she had informed him in advance. The two eventually had a confrontation where Ted let out most of his pent-up emotions regarding his mother, derived from the time that he was growing up.
