Liliane Rovère plays the role of Sylvie’s mother, Heloise, in the show. Born as Liliane Cyprienne Cukier, she was born on January 30, 1933, in Paris, France. In 1954, her parents sent her to America to live with one of her uncles. There she met the iconic jazz trumpet player Chet Baker. Their relationship ended in 1956 after 2 years of dating. She married jazz bassist Gilbert Rovère, and in 1971, the couple adopted a daughter, Tina. Gilbert Rovère passed away in 2007.

After taking an acting course, she started her career with many supporting roles. In 1986, she appeared as Madame Queen in the film Round Midnight. She has done many versatile roles in a career spanning many decades. She gained international popularity for her role as Arlette Azémar in the Netflix show Call My Agent! from 2015 to 2020. She was popular in the 1970s and was known as ‘The Queen of the Night.’ She owned one of the most popular nightclubs in Paris during the 1960s and 1970s. Her powerful character is based on a real-life French club owner Régine Zylberberg. She was the one who opened the world’s first disco.

Sylvie called her mother for professional help regarding her husband Laurent’s club. In Season 4, Nicholas de Leon’s father, the owner of JVMA, got involved in a workplace harassment scandal.
