Simone Abara is Taissa Turner’s (Tawny Cypress) wife in Yellowjackets. Played by Rukiya Bernard, Simone is a comparative literature professor who often worries about Taissa as she believes her campaign for the position of New Jersey state senator is stressing her out.

Taissa and Simone live together and they have a son and a dog named Sammy and Biscuit, respectively.

While their relationship seems fairly fine, it is gradually revealed that they have been having problems, mainly because of Taissa’s demanding schedule, and later, Taissa also reveals to Shauna that she does not love Simone anymore.

What happens to Simone in Yellowjackets?

Simone is a recurring character in Yellowjackets as she was introduced in the pilot episode. While sharing a good relationship with her wife Taissa, she also asks her to take better care of her and the relationship while also mentioning that otherwise, Sammy would end up getting affected by them.

The whole election campaign fiasco causes a dent in their relationship and Simone ends up telling Taissa that she is not the woman that Simone had married. As Simone takes Sammy to a child psychiatrist because of the problems he is having, she wants Taissa to be there as well, which she does but while being in the chamber, constantly keeps looking at her phone.

This further makes Simone angry who seems to be shocked to see Taissa’s aversion to getting help. However, when Taissa realizes that she has started sleepwalking again and does not know what she does in that state, she asks Simone to leave with Sammy as she feels scared for them.

While initially reluctant, Simone listens to her and leaves. A few days later, when Simone comes back to the house to pick up some stuff, she goes to the basement and discovers Biscuit’s head and heart, whom they had previously thought to have run away.

She also finds one of Sammy’s toys with an eye missing and a symbol that had its origin in the Canadian wilderness. This shrine shocks Simone and when Taissa meets at Sammy's school after having won the election she shouts at her and tells her about her findings.

Taissa seems to be surprised by it because she has no memory of building that place or killing Biscuit. Things get worse as Taissa begins to hallucinate and her visions include their son Sammy.

One day, Taissa calls Simone to tell her Sammy is with her, which the latter does not believe and it is eventually revealed that Sammy is indeed not with Taissa but at the school only where he has been waiting to be picked up for the last two hours.

Hearing this, Simone tells Taissa that she needs help and if she does not Simone will not let her be a mother to Sammy. Taissa does not take this well and causes an accident in which a truck hits Simone.

Taissa goes through more episodes of hallucinations after this accident and eventually goes to meet Vannesa (Lauren Ambrose) with whom she was in a relationship before and during the plane crash. However, they do not talk about Simone and it appears that Taissa is ready to cheat on her wife. Nothing more is known about what happens to Simone after that.
