Ryan Murphy's new horror drama Grotesquerie on FX continues to engage fans with its chilling narrative and talented cast members, including Micaela Diamond. The actress plays one of the key figures, Sister Megan Duval, described as "a street-savvy journalist" and a devoted nun.

Sister Megan is helping Detective Lois Tryon after witnessing a series of terrifying murders in the town. Given her knowledge as a journalist, it will be easier for Detective Tryon to expose the killer.

While Sister Megan is committed to her religion, she ensures that her journalistic skills are utilized for good. Her decision to hunt down the serial killer highlights the nun's determination to eliminate the growing chaos and horror in the town.

While discussing her character in Grotesquerie, Micaela Diamond revealed how she prepared to enter the sinister realm of the show. The actress said (via People):

"We walked onto set every day and there's smoke and haze and there's just a feeling on set that is creepy, to be honest. And I watched a bunch of cult documentaries and saw all these people who really believe that they're doing the right thing."

Diamond watched cult-related documentaries that helped her understand how people in real life make significant decisions. Sister Megan's strong belief in the horror drama motivates most of her actions.

Before taking on the role of Sister Megan, Micaela Diamond worked as a stage actress and is recognized for playing Babe in The Cher Show (2018). Since it has only been a few years, Diamond has appeared in two shows, including Netflix’s tick, tick… BOOM! and Elsbeth, in which she played Detective Edwards.

The actress hails from New Jersey and relocated to New York with her mother at a young age. The Grotesquerie star mastered her acting skills at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School and later attended Carnegie Mellon University after being accepted into a theatre program. Diamond has been involved in stage acting since high school, and now she has successfully secured a main role in a hit horror drama.

However, Micaela Diamond isn't the only newcomer in a hit TV series, as Murphy has also cast NFL star Travis Kelce, the tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs and the winner of Super Bowl LVIII. In the same conversation with People, Diamond shared her experience working with Kelce and said:

"We were just like the newbies on set, being sponges, trying to figure it out together."

The actress even mentioned a lighthearted moment with Kelce while working on the sets of Grotesquerie. Diamond remembered asking the NFL star about his last name, to which he replied "Kelce," but the actress had asked his character's last name, which is Laclan. Diamond also said it was nice working with Travis Kelce.

Since it's a Ryan Murphy show, there has to be at least one strange relationship, and in Grotesquerie, it's between Sister Megan and Father Charlie (played by Nicholas Chavez) who recently appeared in Murphy's hit anthology series on Netflix. As seen in episode 4, Sister Megan drafted an article, which requires Fathet Charlie's approval.

Upon reading her article, Father Charlie felt annoyed, thanks to his hypocritical personality. Despite their tense relationship, Sister Megan and Father Charlie share an intimate moment in Grotesquerie. This adds to the characters' personal desires and moral weaknesses when the whole town is riddled with chaos.

As the fourth episode comes to an end, we see Sister Megan feeling guilty about her affair with Father Charlie. The episode concludes with a scary woman warning Lois and Sister Megan that someone terrifying is targeting them.
