Katherine Cooper, Peri’s character, joined the crew in Season 2. She is the no-nonsense Deputy Homeland Security Director. Before working with the Scorpion gang, she’d never been in the field.

Peri Gilpin was born as Peri Kay Oldham on May 27, 1961. She is best known as Roz Doyle from the sitcom Frasier.
She nailed the role after beating out over 300 actresses, including Lisa Kudrow. Peri starred on the show from 1993 to 2004, appearing alongside Kelsey Grammer.
She even bagged a Screen Actors Guild Award with the cast in 1999.
Before Frasier, Peri popped up in Cheers as Holly Matheson in Season 11. In 2009, she wowed us again as Kim Keeler in Make It or Break It. It earned her a Gracie Award for her performance.
She and her Frasier co-star Jane Leeves started a production company, Bristol Cities. They worked on projects like an American remake of The Vicar of Dibley.
Peri’s voice talents shine, too. She’s lent her voices to characters like Jane Proudfoot in Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, Desiree in Danny Phantom, Volcana in Superman, and even Hecate in Hercules.
You’ve probably heard her voice in commercials for Wells Fargo or Johnsonville Meats without realizing it!
She’s also appeared in shows like Medium, Desperate Housewives, CSI, and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. On the big screen, she starred in For the Love of a Child and had a recurring role in Men at Work.
In 2023, Peri gave fans a dose of nostalgia by reprising her role as Roz Doyle in the Frasier reboot.

In 1997, Peri Gilpin faced a tough loss. Her mother passed away from leiomyosarcoma. Since then, she’s been a passionate advocate for cancer research. She has worked hard to raise awareness in honor of her mom.
Fast forward to July 31, 1999, Peri tied the knot with painter Christian Vincent. The couple’s family grew on May 7, 2004. They welcomed twins via surrogacy.
Sadly, in July 2023, Peri experienced another heartbreaking loss. Her brother Marc Gilpin passed away at the age of 56. Marc was also an actor. You might remember him from Jaws 2 as a child. He lost his battle with glioblastoma brain cancer.
Through life’s ups and downs, Peri has found support in her close friend and Frasier co-star Jane Leeves. She just so happens to be her neighbor.
