Mr. Beast has been popularly associated with all things king-size and his Beast Games is no exception. Drawing heavily from the South Korean Netflix show Squid Game, Beast Games ups the stakes considerably by pitting a thousand contestants against each other and offering a whopping $5 million cash prize to the one lucky winner. The real name of Player 453 from Beast Games is Michael Robert House and he was introduced on the Amazon Prime show as a former Grammy Award Winner.

Beast Games star Michael Robert House didn't receive much screentime during the initial episodes of the game show. This is owing to the fact that such a humongous production with a thousand competing contestants has little time to devote to each individual. It was only during the sixth episode of Beast Games that House assumed prominence. He was selected to be the captain of the Pink team after winning the push-up challenge in the games. He was further chosen to represent his team in the bar-hanging contest that marked the episode finale.

Here's everything that we know.

Beast Games: Player 453 career and other details revealed

Beast Games star Michael Robert House has made a couple of on-screen appearances in the past. His first and only television appearance was in 2021 when he played the role of a detective in the TV show Uncle Jimmy. He then followed this up by appearing as a punk rock enthusiast in the 2022 music video for Yung Gavy's Betty. In the same year, he was cast as an inmate in another music video i.e. Chosen One by Adam Hicks. In the next year, he appeared as a werewolf in the music video S91 by Karol G.

Speculations that are currently making rounds about House's origins involve the idea of him having won a Grammy award in the past. This was brought to the surface when during the sixth episode, while he was speaking on screen, a tick underneath described him as a "Grammy Award Winner". As of this writing, there's no official confirmation about whether he ever was the recipient of the prestigious award in the United States.

However, it might be interesting to note that House was a part of a band named Pipes and Pints. This group released an album in 2012 titled Found and Lost which subsequently went on to win the Andel Award, which has often been described as the Czech version of the Grammys. Therefore, the game show might not have been entirely in the wrong while describing him as such.

Apart from this, House also appeared on the late-night Jimmy Kimmel show which aired in November 2023 as part of a skit that featured him as a tattoo artist. During the skit, he performed alongside Jerry Roll

Beast Games shooting locations explored

The game show was filmed mostly in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The first episode was shot in the Downsview Hangars in North York, Toronto. The property has three lofts, each of which is 77,000 square feet, and features massive and open interiors free of columns, as well as power and other services, making it ideal for such a large-scale production.

The second episode was filmed in and near Downsview Airport. Mr. Beast developed an artificial city called Beast City to house the five hundred candidates that advanced to the following stage.
