Confident and skilled teenagers are no strangers to the House of the Dragon universe. Fans and viewers have praised several young characters in the HBO series, and the latest one is Oscar Tully (played by Archie Barnes).

As seen in the seventh episode of House of the Dragon season 2, Oscar Tully is now the newly appointed Lord Paramount of the Riverlands. He was first introduced in episode four, in which many believed he was a commoner with little to no experience in politics.

However, in a turn of events, Oscar gained the ultimate power in Riverlands. Following his position and excellence in politics, Rhaenyra Targaryen and her second husband Daemon Targaryen look forward to Oscar Tully's support during the Civil War.

As the final battle is fast approaching, Daemon initiates a private conversation with Oscar Tully and is amazed by the young lad's knowledge and confidence. Oscar guarantees him the support of his army for Team Black but also informs Daemon that he's not in the good books of other River Lords.

Following their conversation, Oscar Tully astonishes everyone including Daemon at the meeting in the Godswood, when he stands up against the actions of Daemon. This event plays a pivotal role in House of the Dragon because a young boy is seen confronting a warrior like Daemon Targaryen.

Oscar further tells Daemon to eliminate Willem Blackwood if he wants to win over the trust of other River Lords, proving his transformation from a hesitant boy to a great decision-maker with complete authority.
