Officer Kevin Atwater played by LaRoyce Hawkins might get a new Love Interest on Chicago P.D. as Natalee Linez enters the show as Val Soto. She debuted in the 3rd episode titled ''Off Switch'' which aired on 9th October and reports are that there is a potential romance brewing between Soto and Atwater.
This potential romance might fare well for Atwater in Chicago P.D. as he needs an off switch with everything happening to him on Season 12 of the show. Apart from saving lives and giving his best on his job, he is also responsible for his family and has to look after family members too.

Hawkin's Atwater has hardly had any luck in love on the show, and it would be interesting for the fans to see him in a romantic relationship with somebody. Linez's Soto might come as a breath of fresh air for his character.
Who is Natalee Linez- The newest addition to Chicago P.D.
Natalee Louise Linez is a California Native, originating from Orange County. She moved to Los Angeles at 20 years old to pursue acting. There, she enrolled in acting classes and took up waitressing in a restaurant in Beverly Hills to support herself.
Her first break was when she bagged the role in the Freeform's hit series, Siren. Subsequently, she took on a variety of roles in different projects and expanded her portfolio.
Some of her works include playing Jessica Figueroa in Power Book III: Raising Kanan and Lydia Montgomery in Hulu's Tell Me Lies.
Linez has also ventured into the business world alongside her acting career. She started her mental health and wellness company Magic Mornings which focuses on improving the mental well-being of people through positive routines.
She has also expanded on this by launching her podcast Ground Up. Through this, she shares her thoughts on mental well-being and personal development with her fans. Linez regularly invites guests from various fields to talk about mental health on her podcast.
What role is Natalee Linez playing in Chicago P.D.?
Natalee Linez will play the role of Val Soto, a psychiatrist in Chicago P.D. The choice of a psychiatrist as a potential love interest for Atwater is interesting as she might help him deal with issues he is facing on the show.
In an interview with TV Insider Hawkins spoke about his character's probable love interest and said,
''She sees Atwater differently and she understands exactly why he feels so heavy and where that weight is coming from. Since she’s able to see that from a different perspective, Atwater is able to allow her in, which he doesn’t do oftentimes.''
Linez's character might give Atwater the much-needed grace, love, and support that the former has not yet received. Chicago P.D. might explore possible issues of mental well-being in the workforce through Atwater's character.
