Diane Farr is the mole in The Night Agent Season 1

Plot twist! The mole is none other than Diane Farr, the White House Chief of Staff and Peter’s own boss. This is the same person who handpicked him for the Night Action program. And that makes the betrayal sting even more.
Peter trusted her completely, giving her updates on his and Rose’s progress. But she secretly makes sure they stay one step behind the real villains.
Turns out, Diane wasn’t originally in on the metro bombing plot. But when Vice President Ashley Redfield (Christopher Shyer) and shadowy businessman Gordon Wick (Ben Cotton) needed someone to clean up after them, they pulled her in.
At first, she was furious, but when they dangled the president’s reputation in front of her, she folded. From then on, she became the ultimate inside woman. She began manipulating events and covering up crimes. She also kept a very close eye on Peter.
Why Rose’s aunt and uncle were killed in The Night Agent

Rose Larkin’s entire life changed the night her aunt and uncle, Henry and Emma, were murdered. But why were they targeted?
Simple: they were getting too close to the truth. Henry and Emma had figured out that the metro bombing wasn’t just a terrorist attack. It was actually an elaborate assassination attempt on Omar Zadar (aka Osprey). If they had exposed this information, the whole operation would have crumbled. And, Redfield, Wick, and Diane would have been finished.
That’s why they were silenced. The job was handed to assassins Dale and Ellen, who continued hunting down Rose and Peter throughout the season. Little did they know, their actions would set off a chain of events that would lead to the downfall of their employers.
How Peter found out

In The Night Agent, Peter isn’t just another government employee. He’s got sharp instincts. At first, he refused to believe that Diane could betray him. But little things didn't add up. The biggest red flag appeared when Diane casually dropped a comment about his "trooper friend," Cisco. That was something Peter never told her. And so, that was when it clicked: she was spying on him.
Before that, Peter already had his doubts. He noticed that every time he and Rose made progress, assassins seemed to show up at just the right time. That could not be a coincidence every single time.
The final nail in the coffin was when their supposedly safe house was attacked. Only a handful of people knew about it. And yes, Diane was one of them. When she blamed it on "spyware" on her phone, Peter didn't buy it. From that moment on, he knew he had to outplay her.
Did Peter finally become a night agent?

The final episodes of The Night Agent are nothing short of explosive.
It’s a wild ride involving car chases, gunfights, and some serious spy game action. And yes, Peter gets a brand-new job of being a night agent. It is one that promises even bigger missions ahead.
With The Night Agent Season 2 already out, fans are wondering what’s next. Will Peter’s new role as a full-fledged Night Action agent take him into even more dangerous territory? And what about Wick?
Well, one thing’s for sure. Peter’s days of answering a silent phone in a basement are long gone.
