It might be an indication that the release date will be announced soon. John Cena's Peacemaker was picked up for its own series after it was a scene-stealer in the 2021 film, The Suicide Squad. Created by James Gunn, this DCU series premiered in January 2022, and while it was renewed for a second season in February 2022, there was no release date mentioned.

The first look of Peacemaker Season 2
As visible from this photo, a very muscular man sits naked with his back turned towards the camera in what looks like a forest. The burning fire in front of him illuminates his chiseled body. The mysterious man adorns a pair of grey braids while a pair of feathers dangle from his biceps.
This character has the internet divided, as online sleuths wonder if it was Super Friends' Apache Chief, who can change size at will. Others were convinced that it was Long Shadow, a member of Ultimen, and an update to the Native American superhero, Apache Chief.
Some fans have also jokingly guessed the character to be Nightwolf, but a Mortal Kombat game team-up with DCU might not be on the cards.
New cast members of Peacemaker Season 2
While we may not surely know who this unidentified character is, we do have news about some new cast members joining Peacemaker Season 2.
MCU veteran Frank Grillo, who has played Brock Rumlow/Crossbones in multiple Marvel films will play Rick Flag Sr. in the show.
Sol Rodriguez will also join as Sasha Bordeaux. In addition to these new members, David Denman will also join Peacemaker Season 2.
While James Gunn has reportedly wrapped up all eight episodes of Peacemaker Season 2, there is no official release date. Fans expect it to be released beyond July 2025, after the new Superman movie.
