Lilia Calderu stands out as one of the most interesting characters in Disney+’s Agatha All Along. Played by Patti LuPone, Lilia is a Sicilian witch, who joins Agatha Harkness and Teen’s coven and travels with them down the Witches' Road.

The 450-year-old witch seems weird at first, as she shouts and says random things at times. However, as the coven continues their journey, her powers become essential for everyone’s survival as they face one trial after the other.

Lilia holds on to a secret all her life, which is finally uncovered in the seventh episode of Agatha All Along. The Marvel series reveals that Lilia has divination powers.

Instead of just seeing the future like a regular fortune-teller, she jumps between different moments in her life, juggling between the past, present, and future.

Lilia first appears in Agatha All Along in the second episode when she joins Agatha’s coven to help her open the portal to the Witches’ Road. As the group heads on their journey and faces trials, Lilia often interrupts others with scary warnings or odd comments that feel out of place.

She seems more caring than her fellow witches, but her chaotic visions often distract her. Later, it is revealed that she can experience time differently than everyone else, and is always stuck between the loop of the past, present, and future.

One minute she might be in the present, the next she is reliving something from years ago, and then suddenly she is seeing something that hasn't happened yet. Her mind gets too chaotic living a non-linear life, which leads to her frequent memory gaps.

These gaps come from a traumatic childhood filled with visions that she learned to hide because they were too dark for her to handle. This special ability makes her one of the strongest members of Agatha's group of witches, even though nobody realizes it at first.

In Agatha All Along episode 7, Death's Hand in Mine, Lilia realizes that the fourth trial on the Witches’ Road has been designed for her. This time, the trial takes the form of Tarot card reading. The witches need to place the tarot cards in the correct order, or the swords from the ceiling will fall on them.

As Lilia goes through the trial, she starts to piece together the broken experiences of her life. This leads to her heartbreaking decision to sacrifice herself to defeat the Salem Seven, the villains of the series.

As the Salem Seven inch closer to the coven, Lilia uses her newly realized powers to protect her friends. She reverses gravity in a tower, impaling the Salem Seven, and herself, on swords hanging from the ceiling. Since the witch can see all the possible ways things could end, she knows that this is the only way to keep her friends safe.

Even though Lilia dies, she leaves a legacy behind by returning Billy’s spell book to him right before sacrificing her life. She also leaves Agatha with some mysterious warnings about the future that could help her survive upcoming threats.

Agatha, Billy, and Jen then continue their journey down the Witches' road. In the final sequence of the episode, a young Lilia is seen attending her first lesson in divination. The witch goes from being scared of her powers and keeping them a secret to mastering them and sacrificing herself for the greater good.
