Childhood and early life of Kier Eagen from Severence

Kier Eagen was born in 1841 to closely related parents, which resulted in him being a frail child suffering from serious illnesses like tuberculosis from birth, as depicted in the painting The Youthful Convalescence of Kier. Kier began working at the age of 12 in a Furniture company under Edgare Willit, a furniture tycoon.

Other than this, Kier also did several other jobs, such as being a military doctor and then working in an ether factory as a stew-man, where he met his wife, Imogene Eagen, as depicted in the painting The Courtship of Kier and Imogene, which was seen in season 1 of Severance.

Due to his interest in business operations and a will to find medicines for deadly diseases, Kier started a pharmaceutical company called Lumon. With his efforts, Kier expanded Lumon Industries, made it a global brand, and stayed the longest-serving CEO of Lumon Industries until his death in 1939.
