Emma in Friends

The character of Emma was introduced in the Friends series during the 7th season’s finale episode which was titled, "The One Where Rachel Has A Baby, Part 2". In the series, it was revealed that Emma’s birth took place after Rachel’s 47 hours and 27 minutes of labor dated April 4, 2002. Since then Emma had been living with Rachel and Ross in the latter’s house, even though her biological parents were going through an on-and-off relationship.

Throughout the series, Emma has been pampered and loved by all the members of Ross’s and Rachel’s families and friends. There have been moments when Emma has been taken care of by Monica, Chandler, or Joey when Rachel and Ross are not present. In the initial few months of Emma’s birth, Emma was seen to be crying a lot which made things extremely difficult for Rachel. Around this time, it was Monica who was able to calm the baby down and allow some sleep for her mother.

While initially, Emma used to live with both her mother and father at Ross’s house, after having a dispute, the duo separated and Emma stayed with Rachel and Joey. While this continued for quite some time, by the end of the series, Ross and Rachel got back into a relationship and the 3 started living together again.
