Daredevil is finally getting a reboot series on Disney+, titled Daredevil: Born Again, which will debut on March 6, 2025.

Daredevil is a character in MCU comics and was adapted into a series that ran on Netflix for three seasons before the platform canceled it. Disney+ has now decided to reboot the comicbook hero, bringing back Charlie Cox as Daredevil and his alter ego, Matt Murdock.

From a recently released trailer for the reboot series, Matt can be seen dancing with actress Margarita Levieva, who will play his love interest Heather Glenn this time.

The couple shares a shower scene later, indicating that Matt will get a new love interest in the show.

Heather Glenn is Matt's new love interest in Daredevil: Born Again. Exploring her character from the comics

On-set photos released from Daredevil: Born Again in January 2024 confirmed that Matt Murdock will get a new love interest in the reboot, as Charlie Cox was seen with actress Margarita Levieva on the sets of the show.

The trailer has now confirmed that Margarita Levieva is, in fact, Matt's love interest on the show. She plays Heather Glenn, who is also Matt's girlfriend in the comics.

According to the MCU comics, Heather was a New York socialite who helped Matt with his law firm by providing him funds through her father's company, Glenn Industries. Matt and Heather's relationship took a downfall after his superhero alter-ego, Daredevil, uncovered a conspiracy involving her father. This eventually led to Heather's father committing suicide. The incident sent her on a spiral and Heather became an alcoholic.

It is unlikely Daredevil: Born Again will invest too much time in Heather's back story, but her appearance and closeness to Matt in the reboot's trailer hints that she will help Matt in running his law firm, which was a key trait of her character in the comicbooks.

However, what becomes of her romance with Matt in the reboot remains to be seen — whether they end up a happy couple or whether she suffers the same fate as in the comics.

What were Matt's other love interests before Daredevil: Born Again?

While Heather was one of the most popular love interests for Matt Murdock in the comics, he has had his fair share of love interests in the past, as seen through three seasons of Netflix's Daredevil.

In Season 1, Matt is seen with a nurse, Claire Temple. He then romanced the deadly assassin, Elektra, in Season 2 of Daredevil, but the affair was short-lived. His other notable partner was Karen Page. Their relationship developed over three seasons, before they parted ways in Daredevil Season 3.

While Matt's earlier romances have not resulted in successful relationships, it would be interesting to see how the makers approach his relationship with Heather in Daredevil: Born Again.
