Thomas Krottinger was eliminated on Survivor season 48 episode 4
On Survivor season 48 episode 4, during the main challenge, the Vula tribe had to decide which one of their players would be sent home. This happened after they couldn't complete the main task on time and were sent back to the tribal council. In the new tribe, Kamilla and Kyle strategically decided to keep their alliance concealed. Other players viewed them as opponents who wanted each other eliminated from the competition.
Kamilla stated in front of show host Jeff Probst that she wanted her fellow former Civa team member to go home. However, this was all part of a strategy to make other contestants believe that she and Kyle were plotting to vote each other out. Thomas wanted to form an alliance with Kyle and told him he wanted Kamilla out of the game.
The Survivor Season 48 contestant wasn't sure if Kamilla and Kyle would vote him out and, hence, was considering using his Steal a Vote to protect himself from elimination. Thomas also realized that the majority might not be in favor of voting out Kamilla, so he was thinking through all his options to secure his position in the game.
Later in the episode, Kyle decided to play his idol on himself and also used Kamilla's Extra Vote to eliminate Thomas without making it obvious that they were targeting him. When it was time for Jeff to reveal the votes, three votes were for Kyle, while the other two were for Thomas. This meant Thomas was eliminated from the show, even though he could have saved himself by using Steal a Vote.
Players who are still competing on the show include Bianca Roses, Cedrek McFadden, Charity Nelms, Chrissy Sarnowsky, David Kinne, Eva Erickson, Joe Hunter, Kamilla Karthigesu, Kyle Fraser, Mary Zheng, Mitch Guerra, Saiounia "Sai" Hughley, Shauhin Davari, Star Toomey.
