Fan-favorite star Noah Centineo is back as CIA lawyer Owen Hendricks in The Recruit Season 2. Owen's journey began in Season 1, where he navigated the world of international espionage while trying to fulfill his duties.

The first season focused on Owen Hendricks' mission to prevent former CIA asset, Max Meladze from leaking confidential information about the CIA. But before she could do that, Max lost her life in the season finale.

However, her death didn't mean that Owen was free from handling high-stakes missions. In Season 2, the lawyer is handling tasks in South Korea and Russia. The series also brought back key characters from Season 1 including Dawn Gilbane.

Played by Angel Parker, CIA case officer Dawn Gilbane was introduced as a recurring character in Season 1, who emerged as one of the main antagonists in The Recruit Season 2. Gilbane isn't just a CIA officer as she had been running illegal activities in Yemen that Ownen uncovered through Max.

Now, in Season 2, Gilbane is seen orchestrating a plan to kill Owen by hiring a South Korean assassin but her tactic misfires. Her failure is highlighted in Episode 3, H.H.I.I.T.K.A.L., where she furiously asks, “How hard is it to kill a lawyer?”—a phrase that also serves as the episode’s full title.

As previously mentioned, Angel Parker's Dawn Gilbane is no ordinary CIA agent. Instead, she prefers playing dirty and is known for her willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done. This approach makes Dawn a ruthless foe in the thriller series.

One of the biggest revelations about Dawn Gilbane in The Recruit is that she has been explaining the system for her benefit. The CIA officer ran a fraudulent scheme in Yemen by creating fake identities.

Thanks to Max who informed Owen about Dawn's illegal activities before she died. After learning her secret, Owen offered a deal to Dawn in exchange for his safety but she wasn't impressed.

Knowing that Owen might be a threat to her scheme, Dawn decided to silence him and sent an assassin to South Korea. The lawyer was tasked with rescuing Nan Hee, the wife of Jang Kyun, and managed to survive the assassin's attack.

Despite the failure, Dawn didn't step back and kept her illegal work going. However, her constant attacks on Owen uncovered her true nature, and the lawyer ultimately found out about her plan.

As Season 2 progressed, Dawn Gilbane's crimes became harder to cover up. She was later tasked with eliminating Jang Kyun per CIA Director Alton West's order but failed again. This time, it was a dangerous operative named Nichka who wanted Kyun alive for her mission.

In The Recruit Season 2 finale I.D.N.W.T.B.D.I., Dawn confronts Nichka, and within a few minutes, the CIA officer meets her end. Nichka stabs Dawn Gilbane and pushes her into the water, indirectly eliminating a threat to Owen's life.
