The battle between the Greens and the Blacks is intensifying as the House of the Dragon Season 2 finale is just one episode away. While the trained and skilled Dragonriders are set with their companions, new Dragonseeds (people with traces of Valyrian blood) have joined the Dance of Dragons.

Among them are Tom Bennett's Ulf White who claimed Silverwing and Kieran Bew's Hugh Hammer, with Vermithor on Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen's side. They are anticipated to emerge as vital players during the war.

The Greens are blessed with the largest and most dangerous Vhagar, while the addition of Vermithor and Silverwing among the Blacks has significantly strengthened Rhaenyra Targaryen's army of Dragonriders.

Ulf White, who was introduced in the second episode of House of the Dragon season 2, claims to be a Targaryen bastard and was seen tripping with Silverwing, during the sowing of seeds. Initially, Ulf didn't try to claim Silverwing, but they bonded in no time, and Ulf eventually became the rider of Silverwing.

Majestic dragon Silverwing has a history of serving King Jaehaerys I Targaryen's wife Queen Alysanne Targaryen during their time. She is best known for her beautiful silvery appearance and calm nature. During their reign, Silverwing emerged as the most loyal and helping companion for the queen.

Despite being a mighty and huge she-dragon, Silverwing and her rider, Queen Alysanne never joined any tragic battle against their rivals. Their venture was majorly peaceful and saved them from fighting brutal clashes.

However, Silverwing's life drastically changed when Queen Alysanne died. Following the tragic event, Silverwing lived riderless creature for almost thirty years until the Dance of Dragons began.

Silverwing's life changed again when Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen was hosting the sowing of seeds ceremony, and the dragon met Ulf White. Initially, Ulf had no intention of claiming Silverwing as his companion, but as they bonded quickly, he successfully claimed her.

Ulf White and Hugh Hammer along with their dragons Silverwing and Vermithor joined Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen during the Dance of Dragons which has already begun in HBO House of the Dragon Season 2.

However, it's mentioned in George R.R. Martin's book Fire & Blood that Ulf and Hugh will later betray the Blacks out of greed and less determination towards their team. The two were highly disappointed in the compensation provided for their contribution to the war and decided to change alliance.

After the Dance of Dragons concluded, Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen along with her army joined the First Battle of Tumbleton. This is when the Blacks witnessed the betrayal of Ulf White and Hugh Hammer with their dragons.

Their actions played a major role in changing the power dynamics between the Targaryens and therefore labeled as the Two Betrayers.
