Bojana Novakovic joined Chicago PD Season 11 as Detective Jo Petrovic. She was a guest star on the show, which had a two-episode arc on the police procedural. Novakovic is an Australian actress known for her acting talent in many films and television series.

The Windy City's finest got a new detective in Novakovic when the team found out that their abduction case was actually a serial killing. Detective Petrovic is brought in by the Chicago PD to understand the methods of their suspect.

Novakovic started her career with Australian shows and movies. Her Australian film credits include Blackrock (1996), Strange Fits of Passion (1998), The Monkey's Mask (1999), Thunderstruck (2004), and Solo (2005).

Her most famous role was in the police procedural Instinct, where she played Det. Lizzie Needham.

Her other film credits include Drag Me to Hell (2009), Edge of Darkness (2010), Devil (2010), Generation Um... (2012), The Little Death (2014), I, Tonya (2017), and Birds of Prey (2020).

She has also appeared in main and supporting roles in many television series, including Shameless, Love Me, Heartbreak High, The Cooks, Satisfaction, and Rake.

“And socially, she’s somewhere a little further along on the spectrum than most, but she has a strong sense of herself and she’s a very astute and useful member of the team at this point to help us solve the problems, figuring out who this serial killer is. She’s a gifted profiler.''
