The series stars several top Latin American actors, including Juana Acosta as CEO Barbara Hidalgo, Manolo Cardona as Detective Danger Carmelo, and Sebastian Martinez as Esteban Arco, Barbara's husband.

However, Gabriel is not an angel as he pretended to be. By the end of the season, the viewers discovered his true intent for helping Barbara. Gabriel, turned out to be Barbara's psychotic one-sided lover whose intentions and wrongdoings were not revealed initially. However, karma hit him hard as he met with a tragic end.

The plot of Medusa is based on the life of Barbara Hidalgo, a newbie CEO of Medusa Corporation. She faces assassination attempts from her own family, who planned to take over the Colombian business. Barbara narrowly escaped a bomb blast on the boat, but that left her with amnesia. With a damaged memory, Barbara now finds it difficult to trust anyone, including her evil family. The synopsis of the series reads,

"Somebody wants to kill CEO Barbara Hidalgo. Can she find the culprit as her family schemes ruthlessly for control of their Columbian business empire?"

Created by Said Chamie and Claudia Sanchez, Medusa is a fictional series and not based on any novel. As per Netflix, the thriller series is based in Barranquilla, Colombia. Barranquilla is a port city on the Northern coast of Colombia popular for its nightlife, culinary delights, and cultural significance.

Biassini Segura, a 42-year-old Colombian actor, was born in Bogota, the capital of Colombia, on June 21, 1982. Since childhood, he was quite interested in performing arts and joined the Academia Superior de Artes to study the same. Biassini Segura married Anna Maria Aguilera, a Colombian television and theatre actress, in 2012, and they have two children. He has appeared on several shows in his two-decade-long career.

Some of his notable projects include Ruido (2021), Estrella del Sur (2013), Popland (2011), Don't Blame The Kid (2016), Interiores (2021), Always a Witch (2019), to name a few.

Biassini Segura has even participated in reality shows. He was a part of the MasterChef Celebrity in 2023. Biassini is not just an incredible actor but he has also directed a play called The Little Prince where he teamed up with Victor Tarazona.
