This season had seven episodes, following the same idea as the first season, where wealthy guests visited The White Lotus resort for a vacation, not knowing what would happen. The second season received an even higher rating of 94% on Rotten Tomatoes. This meant that the decision to switch from a limited series to an anthology was a success.
After the success of the first two seasons, the show is now moving to a new location for Season 3. HBO confirmed the new season just two weeks after the second season premiered in November 2022.

HBO officially announced the renewal for a new season, but the production got delayed due to the writers and actors' strike in 2023. It's confirmed that season 3 will premiere on HBO in 2025.
Max already shared on social media that filming for the new season started on February 13.
