Netflix's Squid Game Season 2 was lower in terms of death count compared to season one, but a shocking death scene was of Thanos, or Player 230, played by Choi Seung-hyun, who is popularly known as the South Korean rapper, T.O.P. In the finale, of Season 2, Thanos is fatally stabbed by Player 333 Lee Myung-gi (Im Si-wan).

Thanos is one of the most interesting characters in Squid Game Season 2. While other players were fighting for survival, Thanos, a rapper in the Squid Game storyline, would take a 'pill' and drown into a world of ecstasy, playinf recklessly to surviving every game.

While he manages to survive three games on the show, he dies in the Season 2 finale when Myung-gi fatally stabs him in the neck with a fork. Since Episode 1, Thanos was after Myung-gi, a YouTuber who scammed many people into buying his crypto coin with the promise of huge returns. Thanos was among those who bought into Myung-gi's scheme and lost all of money.

He accused Myung-gi throughout the show, and their rivalry came to a head in the finale. Just before the players revolt, the 'X' and the 'O' voters get into a fight in the bathroom, where Myung-gi fatally stabs Thanos and the latter dies.

In an interview with Xport News, Im discussed how T.O.P suffered a broken rib injury during the scene:

''We filmed [bathroom scene] without thinking, and when we fell over, we were in the air. That's when Seung-hyun broke his ribs.''

He added:

“We attended action school together to get in sync. We were both going all out in the action scenes, and there was this moment where we both went airborne during a falling scene. That’s when T.O.P broke his rib. I’ve broken my ribs before, so I know how painful and excruciating it is. You can’t even breathe properly at that point — you should stop, but T.O.P. just kept going. That’s when I realized his experience was on another level.”

His last acting role was in the 2017 movie, Out of Control, and his role as Thanos marked his comeback after seven years. While his casting as Thanos suffered major backlash from the South Korean audience because of the past scandal, International audiences have liked the rapper as Thanos.
