The Voice premiered its 26th season on September 23, bringing together a perfect mix of talented singers from across the globe. This season's judges panel includes Snoop Dogg, Gwen Stefani, Michael Bublé, and Reba McEntire. The show started with a total of 56 artists, and they were divided into 4 teams of 14 each after the blind auditions.
As seen in many seasons of The Voice, this season has also had its fair share of dramatic moments. This year two contestants decided to quit the show mid-season. Their departures have changed the team compositions and dynamics of the entire competition.
The first contestant to leave the show was Tanner Frick, who left after the rehearsals, right before the 3-way knockouts. A few episodes later, another contestant decided to call it quits. This time it was Mor Ilderton. He left before the rehearsals for the playoffs.
The remaining contestants of The Voice have continued showcasing their skills and delivering wonderful performances.
Who is Tanner Frick on The Voice Season 26?
Tanner Frick is a 26-year-old singer from Brandon, Mississippi. He currently resides in Manchester, Tennessee. He specializes in country music. His performance of "Thought You Should Know" got an all-chairs turn during the blind auditions and ended in Reba McEntire's team.
After losing the battles against Tate Renner, Michael steals him for his team. During this steal, Michael says,
"Tanner Frick is a huge win for me. That's a 4-Chair Turn, and a piece of the puzzle that I didn't have. I needed that country singer, and now I feel like I'm completely in the game, and my team is assembled."
However, Tanner decided to call it quits from The Voice without giving any specific reason. Michael was informed about his decision by the host, Carson Daly,
“Michael, Tanner [Frick] left the competition after rehearsals. You still have Cameron [Wright] and Sloane [Simon].”
Tanner still hasn't posted anything on his socials, which reveals the real reason behind this step.
Who is Mor Ilderton from The Voice Season 26?
This 20-year-old star, originally from Teays Valley, West Virginia, decided to step away from The Voice Season 26 on November 18, 2024.
During the blind audition, Mor Ilderton made his way to Team Bublé after Michael decided to block Reba. He got a 3-chair turn from Michael Bublé, Reba McEntire, and Snoop Dogg by performing "Coal" by Dylan Gossett.
After going against Kiara Vega in the battle singing "Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls, Mor ended in Gwen's team after losing the duet.Winning this steal, she said,
“I just had to Steal Mor. I just got this feeling, ‘I know what to do with that guy.’ My favorite thing about Mor’s voice is it has a unique raspy tone. When you hear music out there, his voice feels like what’s happening right now in the world.”
However, right before the 3-Way Knockouts, Mor decided to find his way back home, leaving Gwen's team compromised.
Even though no official announcement has yet been made by Mor on his socials, he posted about his upcoming single on Instagram, and fans might believe this to be the reason for now.
