While The Forsaken assume significance in The Wheel of Time source material as formidable foes, Prime Video didn't do much to present them in their full glory. Nevertheless, The Wheel of Time season three certainly brought to the surface the eminence of the eight Forsaken who rule the domain on the Prime Video show.

While these Forsaken have schemes of their own, they are poised to be greatly explored in the upcoming fourth season of The Wheel of Time. Here's everything that we know.

Who could be the Forsaken villains on The Wheel of Time season 4?

Keep reading to learn more.

1) Lanfear

The finale of The Wheel of Time exposed Lanfear to the fullest extent, rendering her alliance with the Dragon Reborn obsolete. Thereafter, Lanfear soon joined forces with Rahvin to plot against Rand. The upcoming season could very well explore Lanfear's status as a chief adversary to Rand.

2) Moghedien

Moghedien might be among the weaker elements of the Forsaken, but her enmity against Nynaeve isn't to be trifled with. Now that Moghedien has Liandrin by her side, she can very well assume a menacing arc and threaten Rand's preeminence as the Dragon Reborn.

3) Rahvin

The Wheel of Time season three didn't quite explore Rahvin's nefarious machinations, despite the character being arguably the strongest among the Forsaken. It is a known fact now that Rahvin has enlisted the help of Compulsion to make sure that his grasp prevails over the kingdom of Andor.

4) Graendal

The third season of the show proved that Graendal is one of the Forsaken, and the upcoming fourth season might feature her as an integral component of Perrin's journey on the show. This is to say that the next season could very well harp on the Towers of Midnight story arc wherein Graendal is the chief foe.

Showrunner speaks about The Wheel of Time season 4

Showrunner Rafe Judkins recently expressed excitement about the show's upcoming fourth season while speaking in an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly. He also remarked about the connection the show shares with George R. R. Martin's Game of Thrones:

"I can say that we've put a lot of pieces in place at the end of season 3 to tell some of the most iconic stories from book six, which is a really important book in the series, and some of the biggest moments from book five as well. So we're in the area of the books right now that is some of the most exciting. One of the great things about Wheel of Time the book series is that it is sort of a reverse Game of Thrones. It gets better as it goes on. And so that's what television is always about, is getting better as you go."

He further added:

"And I think modern television sort of runs the risk of shows coming in with a big poppy movie-ish idea at the beginning and then petering out a little bit as they go through the seasons. But the great shows of television past really hit their stride in season 3 and 4, and I think that's what this show in this series has the potential to do and just keep getting better from here. So we're all very eager to continue this story and finish it."

The Wheel of Time is exclusively available on Prime Video.
