An actor and comedian, Thomas James Kenny was born on July 13, 1962. He was born and raised in Syracuse, New York. In his childhood, he used to draw and collect record albums. During his childhood, he met Bobcat Goldthwait, who is one of his oldest friends today.

He started his career as a stand-up comedian when he and Goldthwait saw an ad for an open mic night that featured an appearance from Barry Crimmins. Tom and Bobcat performed at the event.
