As the season 1 finale of Creature Commandos approaches, speculations have been running rampant amongst the fans about how it will end. Apart from numerous fan theories about episode 7, DC fans are also wondering which characters from Creature Commandos will transition from animation to live-action.

Some characters have already appeared in both animation and live-action. Characters like Weasel and Amanda Waller have appeared in both animation and live-action. Both characters' current versions appeared in 2021's The Suicide Squad and Creature Commandos.

So, let's speculate on the characters that may take the jump from animation to live-action.

Creature Commandos characters that may or will appear in live-action

In January 2023 DC revealed that the actors they will select to play the DC Universe characters will portray them in live-action and animation. Creature Commandos, which is one of the earliest projects set within Peter Safran and James Gunn's DCU introduces a weird assortment of characters. Here are some of the characters that we may and will probably see in a live-action project:

Frank Grillo's Rick Flag

We know that Rick Flag played by actor Frank Grillo will appear in the live-action. It was revealed that his character will have a role to play in Peacemaker Season 2 and in the Superman movie. Set photos revealed that in Superman, Flag will have a more antagonistic role as set photos showed him arresting Superman.

While he is currently out of commission in Creature Commandos, it remains to be seen if he is back on his feet in the finale. If he is, will the events of the episode affect his character going ahead? Because, of what we have seen of him, Flag seems reasonable and even a bit heroic.

Another point to remember about him is that Flag will have darker hair in live-action because of his commitment to Tulsa King.

Viola Davis' Amanda Waller

Viola Davis has been playing Amanda Waller for a decade now. We first saw her as Waller in the first Suicide Squad movie, directed by David Ayer. That DCEU movie was negatively received, but her performance was appreciated.

Five years later, she reprised her role as Waller in James Gunn's The Suicide Squad, which was initially believed to be a part of the DCEU. This time, both her performance and the movie were appreciated by the viewers, and she returned in Peacemaker Season 1. However, James Gunn and Peter Safran were announced as the CEOs of the newly-formed DC Studios.

As that happened, it was announced that the DCEU will end with the release of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom in December 2023. Furthermore, The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker Season 1 (except for the moment with the Justice League) were integrated into the DCU, which kicked off with Creature Commandos. Therefore, Davis returned as Waller and will continue the role.

She may return in Peacemaker Season 2. However, she is definitely the protagonist in the series titled Waller that James Gunn announced in January 2023.

Anya Chalotra's Circe

Circe, voiced by Anya Chalotra was introduced in the first episode. The last time we saw her was in episode 4 "Chasing Squirrels" where she shows Amanda Waller the supposed vision of the impending dark future. It is unknown if Circe is appearing in the finale or not. But it is expected that she will appear in the future Wonder Woman movie or Paradise Lost.

Apart from the ones above, other characters may appear in both animation and live-action formats. So, we will get a clear idea only after the finale of Creature Commandos is released. Recently, even David Harbour, the actor who voices Eric Frankenstein expressed his desire to return as Eric in live-action too. So, all we need to do is wait.

Six episodes of Creature Commandos are streaming on Max. Binge them if you haven't seen them yet!
