Directed by Brandon Espy, the concept started out as a 6-minute horror short film series for Hulu's Bite Size Halloween. Two years later, the film has been made as a horror and released around Halloween.

What Is Mr. Crocket About?
One day, Summer discovers an old VHS tape titled “Mr. Crocket’s World” in a mysterious book box that appears outside her home. The tape captures her son Major's attention immediately, but when Summer tries to stop him from watching, she unknowingly unleashes the evil Mr. Crocket.
The lead character of Mr. Crocket is played by Elvis Nolasco; he emerges from the screen, using his "magic marker" to whisk Major away into his hellish world.
Mr. Crocket is a spinoff of the childhood shows that feature demonic versions of furniture. In the movie, the characters are also shown from a child's life, but in a horrific way.
The accomplice of Mr. Crocket is a monstrous teddy bear with exposed brains and razor-sharp claws. They are twisted, nightmarish caricatures of characters you’d find on beloved children’s shows like Barney & Friends or Teletubbies.
A sinister spin on childhood TV hosts
In the show, the villain Mr. Crocket tries to turn teachable moments of children's lives into brutal life lessons for parents.
Much like Fred Rogers, Mr. Crocket delivers lessons to both parents and kids—but his approach is far from nurturing. Instead of kindly imparting wisdom, he exacts violent retribution on parents he deems "naughty," dispatching them with grisly practical effects and a gleeful smile.
