Each episode was shot in various locations in Canada and later in Pennsylvania. Mayor of Kingstown is a fictional series based on a town where the McLusky family has been trying to maintain peace. The family tries to mediate between the goons, guards, and cops in the series while the main source of income in the town is the prison industry. The series' theme revolves around bringing justice and order to the town.

Season 1 of Mayor of Kingstown was majorly filmed in Kingston Penitentiary, Kingston, Ontario. This location plays an important role in the series as most of the outdoor scenes were filmed here. It is a beautiful city and is mainly known for its architecture. The show's prison scenes were filmed here, giving it a realistic and dark feel of that world.


2) Hamilton - Ontario, Canada

This location plays another significant role in the Mayor of Kingstown for its own beauty and urban landscapes. This is where McLusky's office is located. A scene from episode 3 of season 1, where the police raided a house is also in Hamilton. The old industrial areas and the city backdrop played an important role in giving the series an authentic feel.


3) Brantford - Ontario, Canada

Brantford location was used many times in the season. Parks, streets, and other places from this location have been used in the series. This gave a very realistic vibe to the show. Brantford’s diverse architecture has given the series a range of settings, from residential areas to more deserted, industrial zones.


4) Toronto - Ontario, Canada

This location has provided the backdrop for many scenes in Mayor of Kingstown. Different places in Toronto were used while shooting the first season of this series. 3) Pittsburgh - Pennsylvania, United States
