More on Mason from Love is Blind Season 8 in our story.
Who is Mason from Love is Blind?
Mason Horacek was among the 32 single men and women introduced in Season 8. According to his bio on the show, he is from Minneapolis like all the other contestants, this season, and works as a cinematographer.
During his introduction, he said his friends and family would call him a "big softie." According to his bio on the show:
“His biggest accomplishment is making a living in a creative career he loves, and he’s looking for that same passion and drive in a potential partner."
“A skater girl would be particularly rad, as Mason shreds whenever he gets the chance, even sneaking in skating sessions before work. In fact, he’s so committed to the sport that he once went through an entire workday with a broken foot.”
The 33-year-old single contestant connected with two women in the pod, which created a messy situation, eventually leading to Mason's exit from the show.
Mason felt connected with both Meg Fink and Madison Errichiello, but after Madison was also interested in fellow contestant Alex, it created a messy love square between the four contestants.
Mason was part of a love square in Love is Blind Season 8
While heated arguments and suggestive conversations are a part of Love is Blind, the latest season saw a love square between four individuals on the show. Mason felt a connection with both Madison and Meg in Season 8.
He first seemed interested in Madison, who prioritized her connection with Alex and left Mason. After Mason faced defeat with Madison in Love is Blind Season 8, he tried to make his way through Meg, calling his feelings towards Madison 'a mistake'.
In an interview with Vulture, he discussed his fiasco with the two girls and how he felt pressured on the show:
"I know I said I didn’t feel pressure — I did. I definitely didn’t thrive in that environment. The cameras played a role in it. But the part that really had me suffering was I’ve never been into two girls or dated two girls at the same time.
He added:
"If someone’s gonna push me a certain way, I’ll break and just give in and give the response I think they want. Seeing two girls at the same time and really having feelings for them kind of messed me up. I knew it was a big thing to say at the moment, and I just said it, and then I just went with it, and then I felt stuck. That wasn’t fair to Meg, obviously."
