The series was filmed at the La Palma airport. Since the plot of the series is about a volcanic eruption in La Palma, the airport is an essential location, especially in episode four. It is the only way to enter and exit the island apart from leaving on a passenger boat.

The airport can be seen in scenes where people are trying to leave the island to escape the natural disaster. In real life, the last time there was a volcanic eruption on the island, the airport was closed due to large amounts of ash accumulating. In recent years, the airport has gone back to being fully operational.

A resort in Tenerife, Isla Bonita can be seen in the first episode of the series. Audiences can spot the main lobby of the resort in the series when the families are checking in to the resort.

Located 260 km east of the island of La Palma, Tenerife's Isla Bonita is where many scenes of the series are filmed. Scenes showing the interiors of the resort that are central to the series were all filmed in Isla Bonita.

5) H10 Tauriente Playa

While the interior shots of the resort shown in the series are of Isla Bonita, the exterior shots of the resort were shot at H10 Tauriente Playa. Since H10 Tauriente Playa is just 23 km away from Cumbre Vieja, the hotel can be easily affected by a volcanic eruption.

This might be why this hotel was chosen as the location for exterior shots of the resort where the series' leading characters were staying. In real life, many tourists stay in H10 Tauriente Playa, as the hotel offers views of the peaks of Cumbre Vieja and the sea.
