Everything about The Voice finalist Sydney Sterlace
Sydney Sterlace's Journey on the show so far
Sydney started her journey on the show with a four-chair-turn by delivering a rocking performance on Olivia Rodrigo's Drivers License. Snoop Dogg even called her performance moving,
"You captivated me like I was in a church. The way you just held control over the audience, you made me move, you made me stand up."
Even though everybody wanted to lock Sydney in their team, it was Stefani who caught her attention. From there onwards, Sydney was able to captivate all the judges and the audience with her stage presence and soothing vocals.
From her over-the-top performance in a battle round with Sloane Simon of another of Billie Eilish's songs, Birds of a Feather, to her rendition of Lewis Capaldi's Bruises, Sydney has been able to bank several compliments,
"Something about age just goes out the window. You feel it. You feel the music. You’re gifted, you’re talented, and you’ve grown! …Sydney can go to the finale. She’s just super in touch with how to, like, build a song and be emotional!”
Sydney also succeeded in delivering a spiritual performance of Taylor Swift's Betty in one of The Voice Playoffs. However, it was her semi-final performance of Billie Eilish's When the Party's Over that helped her gain a spot in the finals of this season.
Syndey Sterlace Life Outside The Voice
Sydney is the only one in her family to enter the musical industry. Her journey began when she was just seven years old. Back then, she used to compete in local talent shows. By the time she was 10, she was able to bring home a win at the Erie County Fair talent competition.
This was when Sydney understood her calling and decided to never look back. Sydney has made her appearances in various Buffalo Bisons games and Robby Takac of the Goo Goo Dolls' art festival.
Though her entire family has shown tremendous support, it is her mother who has been her rock. She has been a huge part of her musical journey by scouting various opportunities for her on social media and identifying local competitions she can take part.
