It looks like Taylor Sheridan is ready for his next adventure with Landman, his latest television drama created with Christian Wallace.
After his feud with Yellowstone star Kevin Costner, Sheridan is ready to move on from the cowboys of the ranch business to the roughnecks of the oil business in West Texas.
While fans are still recovering from John Dutton's death in Yellowstone and marking the end of an era with the show's ending, Sheridan's next project might ease the pain a little.
Fans of Sheridan's Yellowstone and its subsequent spin-offs, like 1923 and 1883, might like Landman because it also follows the same themes of money and power, the billionaires of the oil business.
The show is based on the Boomtown podcast, hosted by co-creator Christian Wallace. It follows the big oil in the Permian Basin.

Who stars in Landman?
According to Sheridan, he created the titular role of Tommy Norris, keeping actor Billy Bob Thornton in mind.
“When I read the first script, sure enough, it’s like, yeah, if I were a landman, I think I’d try to be like that,” he said.
After playing gunslinger Jim Courtright in Sheridan’s 1883, Thornton will play the titular role of Tommy Norris. According to him, this project feels right to him,
“If I read something and it fits like a glove, then those are the things I do if I’m interested in the subject.”
Demi Moore also joins the cast as Cami Miller, “wife to one of the most powerful oil men in Texas.''
John Hamm will play the role of Monty Miller, “titan of the Texas oil industry who has a long personal and professional relationship with Tommy Norris.”
The cast for the show includes Ali Larter as Angela Norris, Michelle Randolph as Ainsley Norris, Jacob Lofland as Cooper Norris, Kayla Wallace as Rebecca Savage, James Jordan as Dale Bradley, Mark Collie as Sheriff Joeberg, Paulina Chavez as Ariana, Andy García as Galino, Michael Peña as Armando, and J.R. Villarreal as Manuel.
The president and CEO of Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios, Chris McCarthy, is ''thrilled to have her (Moore) join Billy Bob Thornton and the star-studded cast of Landman, our next epic series from Taylor Sheridan.”
