Shark Tank Season 16 is all set to hit the small screens one more time on October 18, 2024, at 8/7c, on ABC. The business reality TV series started in 2009, to keep the American Dream alive for all those who want to dream and be an entrepreneur. The show welcomes a panel of judges, known as 'Sharks', who all are imminent names in the field of business and market.

Season 16 gives a chance to budding entrepreneurs to come and pitch their product to the sharks and strike the best deal with the 'handshake'. This season the network has announced the long-participating guest judge, Daniel Lubetzky, to be the new addition to the panel of judges which already consists of Robert Herjavec, Daymond John, Kevin O’Leary, Mark Cuban, Barbara Corcoran, and Lori Greiner.

Season 16 will also be the farewell of Mark Cuban, who had been part of the show since season 2. The announcement of the season 16 and Mark's departure came on November 27, 2023.

The show has a legacy of more than a decade and has a record of giving many ventures the right wings they needed for their brands to take off.

With the new season releasing this October, fans can expect more fascinating and utilitarian brands to make their way in the market, and achieve a place for themselves.


Who is the new full-time shark Daniel Lubetzky from Shark Tank Season 16?

Daniel Lubetzky, a recurring shark on Shark Tank since season 2 has been advanced to take the chair as the full-time shark in season 16.

He has appeared as a guest judge on seasons 2 and 3 and appeared consecutively from season 11 till the latest season 15 of the show. Daniel Lubetzky is a founder of KIND Snacks which was founded in 2003 to create an environment for healthy and better snacking.

Daniel progressed the company to be one of the fastest snack-growing in America in 2015. The slogan of the KIND Snack reads, 'Kind to your body, your taste buds, and your world'. He also announced his upcoming global initiative to build a better environment for builders of the world and announced the Builders Movement during his TED Talk in May 2024.

Daniel Lubetzky will join the other full-time sharks in season 16 and announced the same on September 19 via his Instagram account @daniellubetzky. He expressed his gratitude to be part of the show, an initiative that gives budding entrepreneurs hope and a new dimension to their ventures.

The caption of the post reads:

Season 16 of Shark Tank will be the last season for Mark Cuban

Mark Cuban debuted as a guest judge on season 2 of Shark Tank and became a vital part of it as the show progressed. Mark is the current minority owner of the NBA's Dallas Maverick team. He owned the team in 2000 when he had the major stakes invested in the team. Mark was also part of Broadcast.com, a radio company that was taken over by Yahoo in 1999.

Mark appeared on a podcast, All the Smoke on November 21, 2023, and revealed his departure from Shark Tank after season 16. He said:

“I feel like in doing SHARK TANK all these years, we’ve trained multiple generations of entrepreneurs that if somebody from Iowa or Sacramento or wherever can show up on the carpet of SHARK TANK and show their business and get a deal, it’s going to inspire generations of kids.”

The new season of Shark Tank will have Todd Graves, Jamie Kern Lima, Rashaun Williams, and Kendra Scott as guest sharks. Fans must stay tuned to ABC on October 18, at 8/7c, and Hulu on the next day for the show's premiere.
