NBC's latest sitcom, St. Denis Medical, is creating its own space in the comedy world, and people are growing to love it with every passing episode. Reminiscent of comedies like Superstore and The Office, the show does good humor despite its setting in a hospital because of its Mockumentary style.
The show skipped an episode last week to accommodate The Voice Season 26 finale, because of which Episode 6 was released on December 17, 2024.
But the wait was worth it as the episode delivered a lot of Christmas cheer for the people.
Sadly, St. Denis Medical is going on an extended break, so there will be no new episodes on Tuesdays.
Fans will have to wait till January 14, 2025, to watch a stellar cast of Wendi McLendon-Covey, Allison Tolman, Josh Lawson, Kahyun Kim, Mekki Leeper and David Alan Grier deliver new episodes of the show.

Is St. Denis Medical going on an extended break? Expected release date for Season 1 Episode 7
While St. Denis Medical releases weekly episodes every Tuesday on NBC at 8 pm ET, sadly, there will be no new episodes for a while as the show is going on an extended break for the Holidays.
Since the holidays are when people spend time with friends and families, and viewership tends to decrease, many NBC shows go on hiatus and return with the New Year.
Looks like NBC's latest sitcom is also adopting this pattern and will not return until the New Year. Fans will have to wait till January 14, 2025, to see Season 1 Episode 7.
While the cast awaits news on Season 2, NBC has not officially renewed it, but the show is doing great and earning positive reviews from the audience.
In an interview with The Direct, Josh Lashlow, who plays Bruce on the show, said he is hopeful about Season 2.
What happened in St. Denis Medical Season 1 Episode 6?
In the last episode, St. Denis Medical embraced the Christmas spirit as Bruce and Matt helped Santa (a patient dressed as Santa) with a 'private' matter. As a romantic gesture for his girlfriend, a man decided to propose by wearing his ring down there, which got stuck, creating a funny moment for everyone.
After multiple failed attempts by Bruce to cut the ring out, Matt finally arranges a ring-cutter and saves Santa from amputation.
Elsewhere, Alex and Ron discover that an elderly patient named Bob is faking blood cancer in front of his children to get their attention. After they find out that he also cheated on his wife, they threaten to report him for GoFundMe fraud if he doesn't come clean to his children.
While he does come clean, he says that he is now cancer-free, instead telling them that he never had it. Alex and Ron let it slide in the Christmas spirit.
Joyce is adamant about increasing their social media presence and spends the day brainstorming ideas with Serena that might make them go viral, but none of them seem to work. She finally breaks into an impromptu lip-sync with the whole hospital, and the episode ends with the people dancing and singing a Christmas song.
