Based on the Jack Reacher novel series by Lee Child, Reacher premiered in 2022 and since then has been one of Amazon Prime’s most viewed shows.
Its popularity has continued for two seasons and that explains why the show has been renewed for a fourth season even before a concrete date for season 3 has been announced.

As said by head of television, Amazon MGM Studios, Vernon Sanders,
“Reacher has become a phenomenon that continues to resonate with our global customers beyond our wildest expectations and we are thrilled to bring the series back for an additional season.
However, in recent updates, as reported by Variety, it can be said with a fair amount of certainty that Reacher Season 3 will premiere sometime in 2025, probably in during the earlier months.

What is the possible release date of Reacher Season 3?
As per a press release released by Amazon MGM Studios that confirmed the renewal of the fourth season of Reacher, the third season will be premiering in 2025. No specific dates have been mentioned in the press release.
However, fans have been speculating about the release window based on the release schedule of the last two seasons. Season 1 premiered in February 2022 and season 2 in December 2023, marking a one year ten month gap between the two seasons.
If this schedule is maintained this it will be a long wait for season 3.
What can be the plot of Reacher Season 3?
Back in the month of August, Alan Ritchson mentioned that the show was going in a more "classic" direction.
He further said,
“I can’t say too much about Season 3, but I will say there’s a lot of classic Reacher stories which are just adventures that he gets sucked into in a big way. We get to enjoy Reacher in a new world. It may not have anything to do with family, with his past, he’s just living that adventure out, and that’s kind of the direction that we’ve gone, and it seems to really be working."
Since season 3 of Reacher will be based on the book Persuader, the seventh book in Child’s series, an idea about the plot can be deduced through the book’s synopsis:
“Jack Reacher is working unofficially with the Drug Enforcement Administration to bring down Zachary Beck, suspected of smuggling drugs under the pretext of trading in rugs, and safely retrieve an undercover DEA agent. They stage a kidnapping of Zachary's son, Richard, and have Reacher "rescue" the boy from the kidnappers to gain the confidence of the family and lead him to their residence. After being rescued, a frightened Richard places his trust in Reacher and asks him to take him back home.”
Who is in the cast of Reacher Season 3?
In season 3, Ritchson and Sten will reprise their roles as Reacher and Neagley. However, the show has cast a bunch of new members, including,
- Anthony Michael Hall as Zachary Beck, a corrupt businessman
- Sonya Cassidy as Susan Duffy, a DEA Agent
- Brian Tee as Quinn, a villainous character
- Johnny Berchtold as Richard Beck, a college student who gets kidnapped and sets off the main events of the season.
Besides these characters, Richard will also team up with Roberto Montesinos, starring as DEA Agent Guillermo Villanueva and Daniel David Stewart as Steven Elliot, a rookie Agent.
Lastly, Reacher Season 3 has also cast Oliver Richters, who will play the role of Paulie, a man who is bigger than Reacher himself.
