What happened in Reacher Season 3 Episode 5?

Season 3 Episode 5 resolved the previous episode's cliffhanger about what became of Susan and her partner at the tubing facility. They were in the danger zone because two of Beck's men were also approaching the tubing facility, but Susan killed both of them after some help from Jack.

While Susan and Jack get the upper hand there, agent Steven Eliot gets tragically killed by Beck's bodyguard, John Cooper. Eliot is asked to keep an eye on Cooper, but the latter outsmarts him by blowing fire all over his face, and Eliot is dead.

However, proving karma is real, Jack instantly avenges Steven's death by staging an accident near Beck's mansion. When Cooper arrives on the scene, as per Jack's calculation, he sees a car flipped over with Villanueva inside. But as Cooper leans to check in to see who is inside, it turns out to be a ruse, and Reacher shoots him from behind.
