The Great British Bake Off 2024, Episode 3: All we know so far
The Great British Bake Off 2024 was released on Channel 4 and Netflix, adhering to different release dates to cater to both UK and US viewers. Netflix airs a fresh episode every Friday, starting from September 27. Each week, the bakers are posed with a different challenge.
For week 3, the bakers will have to experiment with 'Bread' to qualify for all three challenges namely, Signature Challenge, Technical Challenge, and Showstopper Challenge.
So far John Mincher and Sumayah have won the title of Star Baker, and Week 3 will be followed by another title holder, and an elimination as well.
Who are the contestants left in The Great British Bake Off after Week 2 elimination?
After week 2, only 10 out of 12 home bakers advanced to week 3. As per the format of the show, each week witnesses an elimination. Week 1 was an exception, as Jeff was already unwell. Week 2 saw Hazel, a 71-year-old nail technician bidding farewell to the show. She was surprised by her elimination and mentioned during episode 2 that she did not see it coming.
Jeff, who disappeared in the middle of the technical challenge in week 1, decided to self-eliminate himself as he believed he would not be able to continue. Noel Fielding consoled him and told him that his Brooklyn energy would be missed on The Great British Bake Off.
The 10 home bakers to qualify for week 3 are:
