The remaining episodes of the beloved American drama series When Hope Calls Season 2 will premiere on Great American Family on Sunday, April 6, 2025. Based on the Canadian West novel series by Janette Oke, the show is also a spin-off of the series When Calls The Heart which aired on Hallmark Channel.
When Hope Calls, Season 1, premiered in August 2019 on Hallmark Movies Now. The show revolves around two orphaned sisters, Lillian Walsh, Played by Morgan Kohan, and Grace Bennett, Played by Jocelyn Hudon, who are trying to navigate their lives in a small town in Brookfield in the early 1900s.
In September 2021, it was announced that When Hope Calls was reportedly renewed for a second season and aired two Christmas special episodes When Hope Calls Christmas on December 18, 2021, in its new home Great American Family. The show will finally return with the remaining six episodes in April 2025.

When Hope Calls Season 2 plot details and release date
As mentioned previously, When Hope Calls follows two sisters who have reunited after being separated at a young age in a small town in the Canadian West called Brookfield. In season 1, the sisters open an orphanage in the town, and we see how they manage it while making new bonds and relationships in the rugged town.
As we already know, Jocelyn Hudon won’t be returning this season, season 2’s focus will be on Morgan Kohan’s Lillian Walsh and her brewing romance with Mountie Gabriel, played by Ryan-James Hatanaka.
When Hope Calls Season 2 will premiere on April 6, 2025, on Great American Family and will be available to Pure Flix subscribers on April 3, 2025.
The new season will also introduce new characters and storylines which will add more depth and curiosity to the show.

Season 2 of When Hope Calls will delve more into Lillian’s life as she manages the orphanage and her life without her sister in Brookfield.
However, she might still get some help and guidance as Lori Laughlin’s Abigail Stanton, who is reprising her role from When Calls The Heart, has joined the show for season 2.
