When is Found Season 2 back to NBC? Details explored

NBC's kidnapping thriller series Found premiered its Season 2 on October 3, 2024. But the show has been on hiatus since November and will return with new episodes in January 2025.

The show stars Shanola Hampton, Kelli Williams, Brett Dalton, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, and Arlen Escarpeta in the titular roles. The thriller follows Gabi, a public relations specialist and crisis manager, who works with her associates to find kidnapped people overlooked by the system.

Season 2 started after Gabi revealed to her team that she had abducted Sir (her kidnapper in the past) in the basement all this time. This caused a rift within her team as they felt betrayed by her revelation. Season 2 has focused on her team trying to come to terms with Gabi's truth and finding Sir, who has escaped her basement.

When will Found Season 2 new episodes drop?

Found Season 2 saw its midseason finale in Episode 8, released on November 21, 2024. Since then, the show has been on a holiday hiatus and will return with new episodes on Peacock on January 16, 2025.

Season 2 Episodes 9 and 10 are titled 'Missing While Targeted' and 'Missing While Outed,' respectively, and will continue the story of Gabi and her team as they venture into new cases while looking for leads on Sir.

The Found Season 2 Midseason finale focuses on Margaret, who becomes more disturbed by her son Jamie's disappearance many years back and grows desperate to find him. Throughout Season 2, Margaret has been grappling with the aftermath of Gabi's betrayal after she revealed that she had kidnapped Sir in her basement.

Margaret grows delusional towards the end of Episode 8 as she blames herself for not taking care of Jamie at the bus station, which leads to his kidnapping. She is rescued by Dhan, who stops her from committing suicide and motivates her to attend therapy.

What to expect from Found Season 2 upcoming episodes?

In an interview with NBC Insider, showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll discussed the upcoming storylines:

"We’re gonna see the introduction of a new love interest for Trent who also has an interesting connection to Gabi’s field of work. And then, one of the storylines I’m most excited about, is we’re gonna dig more into Margaret and her family, especially into Jamie’s case.''

She added:

''[It’s] a case that’s not only been on her mind, but in her heart and shaped her entire existence for 13 years. We’re gonna dive into that in a really big and start to get some real answers and a lot more questions for Margaret and her family."

Margaret's storyline will be at the center of the show's upcoming episodes. Carroll also hinted that the chase game with Gabi and Sir will also reach its apex:

"This whole cat and mouse game with Gabi and Sir really ramps up...Sir is someone who likes to be in control of situations and the more Gabi and her team get the one up on him or elude him, the more unraveled and inventive he becomes with how to keep himself one step ahead of her.''
