Fallout the American futuristic post-apocalyptic drama television series set in Los Angeles is about citizens who are forced to live in underground bunkers to protect themselves from radiation and mutants as a result of a nuclear decimation.

2066-2077: The Sino-American War
The Sino-American War posed the greatest catastrophe in the Fallout universe, but viewers only learn about it through present-day characters talking about the past or Howard Cooper's flashback sequence in 2077. China and America have always been in conflict even before 2066 but it turned out to be ugly when China invaded Alaska and America was compelled to protect its land. The war continued for a decade till America invaded China and successfully gained Alaska back.
In 2077, the nuclear bomb was first dropped. It began with the dropping till it decimated the world and its people. Some people were chosen to save while the rest were left to die.
2142-2281: Shady Sands Founded, Rise and Fall of California Republic
In 2142 the town of Shady Sands was founded as a safe base for people of southern California.
In 2189 the new California Republic was formed consisting of various flourishing towns with a motive to rebuild the society.
In 2198, Shady Sands become the capital of the New California Republic. Lee Moldaver, a citizen who survived the Great War lived for 200 years through unknown means. She introduced Lucy's mother Rose to the community after becoming a high-ranking member of Shady Sands after which Rose left the Vault with her children.
In 2241, the New California Republic becomes the largest power in California. At the time the New California Republic population was 7,00,000. Hank McLean finds his wife living in Shady Sands and tries to convince Rose to return which she refuses.
Around 2281, he gets the children out and drops a bomb on Shady Sands killing his wife and almost everyone in town.
2296- Lucy McLean Leave the Vault
Lucy heads to the Westland and confronts Moldaver where she gets to know about her father's contribution to the falling of the Shady Sands. She later confronts her father.
