Rings of Power Season 3 is expected to continue the saga of the second age of Middle Earth and will provide a substantial narrative leading up to the forging of the iconic rings and the rise of the Dark Lord Sauron. Rings of Power Season 3 might once again feature the rivalry between Galadriel and Sauron, with Galadriel deciding to team with better allies this time in order to defeat the Dark Lord.

During the finale of Rings of Power Season 2, Galadriel tries her best to convince Adar and his force of orcs to put a decisive end to Sauron. However, her plans are foiled when the orcs give in to Sauron's devious manipulation and end up killing Adar himself. Galadriel then continued her efforts to keep her own elven ring and the nine rings for mortal men out of the reach of Sauron. In a bid to escape Sauron's grasp, she had to jump off a cliff and barely survived in the process.

It was due to the efforts of Elrond, Arondir, and Gil-galad that Galadriel recovered from her injuries. Thereafter, it seems likely that she will once again face off against Sauron in the upcoming Rings of Power Season 3. Here's everything that we know.

Morfydd Clark opens up about the conflict between Galadriel and Sauron in Rings of Power Season 3

Morfydd Clark, the actress who plays Galadriel on Rings of Power, recently opened up about her character and the upcoming third installment of the show. Speaking in an interview with The Direct, Clark stated her hopes for the impending third season:

"I think it'll be fun to see her be a bit swashbuckling and joyous. Who knows if that will happen."

When asked about Galadriel's state of mind while negotiating the truce with Adar and the subsequent reversal following Adar's death, Clark commented:

"Yeah, I think it was really illuminating for her because she realized that she does really know Sauron because Adar couldn't tell he was being tricked, and so it was kind of quite confronting that she was like, No, I know his mind, and I know that he's doing this. It was really fun to film as well, because she had nothing to lose at that point, she's in such terror of what's about to happen, so she was really letting rip, and there was just loads of orcs. And I just love filming with the orcs."

Morfydd Clark on working with Charlie Vickers

Charlie Vickers plays the character of the Dark Lord Sauron in Rings of Power, and the narrative has him pitched against Clark's Galadriel in a bid to secure the rings for the mortal men. Speaking about her experience of being reunited with Charlie Vickers on the sets of Rings of Power, Clark revealed:

"I did really miss him. It was really strange not being with him, and also he and Charlie (Edwards) were having such a lovely time in their cozy little Forge. We were all in the woods in the middle of the night... And it was amazing to be back with him because he was so transformed. And just as an actor, it was just really exciting to see such brilliantness, really. I was so frightened by him, and kind of couldn't imagine him being so frightening. And so it was amazing to see that our new iteration of Sauron was so perfect."

Rings of Power is available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
