NCIS Season 22 Episode 15: How was Sawyer connected to Lieutenant Robert?
Zane Holtz’s Special Agent Dale Sawyer returned to NCIS and clashed with his nemesis Nick Torres by boasting about his expensive new truck and how he is better able to manage money than Torres. He even asks Torres to be careful and not scratch his new ride with his old bike which he referred to as a scooter.
He later reveals that he received a huge inheritance left by his grandmother. The other Agents such as Jessica Knight and Timothy McGee later share their thoughts of Torres being Sawyer’s perfect nemesis that he likes to torture whenever he gets a chance.
Getting on Torres’s nerves is not the only thing Sawyer does in this episode, as he later gets into a tight spot after his ties with the murder victim, Lieutenant Robert, are revealed.
As the NCIS team discovers a body in the alleyway, they find out that the murder did not take place there and also found alligator bite marks on the body.
Further investigation revealed that he had cocaine in his system and a connection to Agent Sawyer. This revelation and the talks about family money concerned Torres as he thought Sawyer might have gone on the wrong path and become a drug dealer.
However, after Sawyer was interrogated, everything came to light as he was later revealed to be moonlighting as a security officer with Robert. His lies about family money were also busted.
He and Robert were tasked to keep Shayna Reynolds, a girl from a wealthy family, safe. However, the task was a failure as one of the officers ended up dead.
In the episode, the NCIS team tried to solve the murder of Lieutenant Robert, a Naval Intelligence officer.
