The final episodes of Karma bring all six characters face to face, with the aftermath of their choices, and for most of them the ending is violent and tragic. Park Jae-yeong, desperate to escape debt, tries to kill his own father for money, but the plan unravels quickly.

In the chaos that follows he’s killed in a fire, marking the tragic collapse of a man who tried to cheat fate. Meanwhile, Kim Beom-jun, who assumed Jae-yeong’s identity, is brutally captured by loan sharks and ends up facing a horrific death at the hands of a vengeful doctor tied to his past.

Others don’t fare much better. Han Sang-hun is murdered by Beom-jun as a result of past betrayals, while Gil-ryong gets caught in the explosive confrontation between the main players, and dies as well.

Yu-Jeong, who manipulates others throughout the series, is killed by Sang-hun once he uncovers her deceit. Each character’s downfall is a direct result of the lies, greed or violence they tried to hide, making their endings a form of twisted justice.

The only one who makes it out alive is Lee Ju-yeon. After years of living with the trauma caused by her childhood abuser who reappears under a new identity. She chooses not to take revenge.

Instead, she decides to move on, breaking the cycle of pain that defines the others. Her survival offers the only glimpse of hope in a story otherwise ruled by consequences, showing that healing is possible when one refuses to let the past define them.
