Reacher Season 3 came to an end with episode 8 airing on March 27, 2025. The final episode, titled Unfinished Business, brought a fulfilling ending to not only Reacher but also to other characters of the show.
Based on the 7th book of Lee Child’s Jack Reacher series, Persuader, this season introduced Olivier Richters’ Paulie as the villain, giving viewers the chance to witness Reacher finally coming face-to-face with someone who is equally, if not more, physically intimidating than him.
While the season ended well for Reacher, and there is already another season on the horizon, what has grabbed the attention of a lot of fans is the song that plays at the end of Reacher Season 3 Episode 8 as Reacher is shown to be riding his bike. The song is Mondo Cozmo’s hit single Shine. Let us now explore the song and the singer in detail.
Mondo Cozmo’s folk-rock song plays at the end of Reacher Season 3 Episode 8
Reacher Season 3 has a solid soundtrack, elevating the viewing experience. While the playlist has been taken quite well by the audience, one song that has gained extreme curiosity is the one with which the season comes to an end.
As mentioned previously, Mondo Cozmo’s Shine plays as Reacher rides away on his bike. While the real name of the singer is Josh Ostrander, he makes music under the name of Mondo Cozmo only. The singer has a number of singles and EPs to his credit and has also released four complete studio albums.
Shine is taken from Cozmo’s debut album, Plastic Soul, which came out in 2017. The song, which is the fifth track in the album, was released as a single in 2016 by Cozmo and became a huge hit on the radio.
More on Reacher Season 3
As Reacher Season 3 came to an end with high voltage action, especially because of the presence of a villain like Paulie, Alan Ritchson mentioned to Entertainment Weekly that his insistence on doing all the action sequences without taking help from his stunt double led him to getting knocked out for a while during shooting that exhaustive fight sequence.
The actor said,
“The whole point is you just watch Reacher get ragdolled for five minutes straight. And I was like, 'This is fun. I like that this is the idea for everybody right now.' And I get the bright idea to shoot a stunt in a way, because I was like, 'I want the audience to know that I'm doing this for us.”
He further added,
“I'm taking one for Reacher and we're all in this together,' and so I wanted the camera to come up and just stay on my face the whole time while I get smashed through a table on the barn floor.”
He continued and said,
“Everybody was like, ‘You’re going to get killed and we’re not going to do that because it’s going to hurt you too bad.’ And so we’re going to do it with a stuntman and a camera on the floor.’ And I was like, ‘No.'”
Ritchson’s efforts and the huge risk that he took definitely did not go to waste as the action sequences in the final episode were a treat to watch.
Reacher can be streamed on Prime Video.
