He used a chemical called KX to kill his enemies in the past and now wants to blow the UN by placing canisters of the same chemical, which is so volatile that it becomes poisonous in seconds. Markus is a military officer who is a trusted ally of his uncle and shares the same sentiments of revenge.
In the show's climax, Markus even kills Viktor's son because he was turning out to be a liability in their plans.
In the The Night Agent Season 2 finale, he kidnaps Peter's hacker girlfriend Rose and Wilfred, a scientist, to recreate that chemical and use it to explode the UN.
