Marwan Kenzari portrays the character of Sami who is a former soldier with a bitter past. His tragedy is that he was previously court-marshaled for a crime that he did not even commit. This naturally gives the character an edge and the backstory works in his favor.

In The Night Agent season 2, Sami becomes a Night Action Agent and works with Peter to derail a conspiracy that seems to be happening within the program. Sami takes pride in his intelligence and has a dry sense of humor that becomes difficult not to notice.

However, his character is shown to be extremely temperamental and his words appear as sharp as his anger. Moreover, he doesn't shy away from violence whenever he finds it necessary.

Marwan Kenzari is a Dutch actor whose first breakthrough performance came with his role in the 2013 film Wolf, for which he won the Golden Calf Award for Best Actor. He has also worked in a number of English language films including Aladdin (2019), The Old Guard (2020), and Black Adam (2022).

He was also part of the film The East (2020) where he was cast as the controversial character of Raymond Westerling, who was the Royal Netherlands East Indies Army (KNIL) officer. The film was released on Amazon Prime Video.
