More about S.W.A.T. season 8 episode 9
Ahead of the tribute, S.W.A.T. season 8 episode 9 featured high-stakes drama. The episode showcased Officer Gamble taking a risk by meeting her father, who was in prison for killing a cop. He had been trying to reach her with important information. Even though Gamble did not trust him, she decided to listen to him.
Her father told her that someone had put a bounty on an officer, but he did not know who was on the target. Gamble reported this to Commander Hicks, but before the team could act, Hondo was attacked by a young man trying to claim the reward.
Hondo was able to overpower the attacker, but a group of motorcyclists then tried to take him out on the road. He crashed and ended up stranded in a dangerous neighborhood without his phone. With no way to call for help, he had to rely on his skills to survive.
Meanwhile, his team started a search operation to find him. It was eventually revealed that Ameer Riles had placed the bounty. Riles blamed Hondo for his brother Malik’s death in prison. The final showdown took place in a drug den, where the team arrested Ameer and shut down his operation.
S.W.A.T. season 8 airs new episodes on CBS on Fridays.
