Replicants in Solar Opposites can be compared to children, as Yumyulack and Jesse are artificially created younger versions of Korvo and Terry.

Solar Opposites is an American adult animated sci-fi sitcom created by Justin Roiland and Mike McMahan. With a total of six seasons, the show centers on an alien family from the planet Shlorps, consisting of Korvo, Terry, Jesse, and Yumyulack, who have crash-landed on Earth and are forced to live here.

Aliens from Planet Shlorp, which has advanced technologies, are sent out on hundreds of ships before asteroids can destroy their planets. Each ship contains two adult aliens and their replicants, whose mission is to find other habitable planets.

In Solar Opposites these replicants grow into adult Shlorpians and later turn into trees. Replicants are initially genderless but are given the option to choose a gender at some point in their lives.

It is to be noted that Replicants are not traditional clones. They are created to be identical to their parents. These replicants grow from a piece of their assigned adults after being planted in a special soil. Replicants are missioned to keep a watch over “Pupa.”

Yumyulack is Korvo's and Jesse is Terry's replicant. According to their relationship status in Solar Opposites, they are siblings. Like any normal teenager, the siblings attend a human high school. But one thing they cannot understand is the logic behind human interaction since they are plant-based aliens.

Yumyulack, voiced by Sean Giambrone, often finds his sister Jesse irritating, but deep down, he cares about her. Despite their differences, he frequently looks out for her and seeks her approval.

Jesse, voiced by Mary Mack, on the other hand, dislikes her brother because he has often treated her poorly. She just wants her brother Yumyulack to be nice and sweet so that the two of them can form a loving sibling bond.

Is Yumyulack Korvo's son?

No, Yumyulack is not Korvo's biological son, but a replicant. In Solar Opposites, Yumyulack and Korvo's relationship is central to the show's dynamic alien family unit.

Yumyulack is a replicant and a younger version of Korvo, both the characters share the same DNA. The two also share the same kind of vision, as they can both see pollution, consumerism, and human frailty.

Yumyulack’s replicant connection acts as a sci-fi substitute for a father-son relationship. Their link plays a crucial role in the show providing a funny and touching view of parenting's intricacies, self-identity, and the hurdles of adapting to a foreign world.
