Daredevil: Born Again is finally here on Disney+ and has successfully added a new layer of intrigue to the Man Without Fear. The story takes off several years after the original Daredevil series on Netflix. While many familiar characters such as The White Tiger, The Punisher and Wilson Fisk will appear on Daredevil: Born Again, the show marks the MCU debut of one of its most dreaded comicbook villains of all time — Muse.

Contrary to the other criminals and villains featured on Daredevil: Born Again, who either turn to crime out of financial desperation or kill for profit, Muse is an agent of mayhem who kills for supposedly artistic pleasure. He is a formidable foe, who likes to make a big scene of his crimes, evident from the way he sets up his murder victims in exhibitionary poses for everyone to see.

Muse has mysterious origins and his own set of powers are considerable. Apart from superhuman strength and speed, he also possesses supreme agility — which makes it difficult to take on him in one-on-one combat. Apart from this, Muses's greatest power is his unique ability to become impervious to sensory perception. Here's everything that we know.

Muse's superpowers on Daredevil: Born Again explained in detail

As depicted in the comicbooks and now on the Disney+ show, Muse is quite a force to reckon with. He commands superhuman strength, thus making him almost infallible in hand-to-hand combats. He also has immense speed and is difficult to pin down to a single place. Besides this, Muse is capable of scaling and climbing various surfaces just as Spider-Man.

Although he has an admirable set of powers, these are nothing compared to the most dreaded power often deployed by Muse. The villain has the unique ability to turn himself into a black hole that draws the ability of sensory perception from those around him. This makes him impervious to perception, and immune to attacks from vigilantes like Daredevil.

The source of Muse's powers remains undefined in Marvel lore and on Daredevil: Born Again. Creator Charles Soule has never explicitly mentioned how Muse obtained his power. Instead, Muse's origin story remains shrouded in mystery, thus giving rise to speculations.

Muses's conflict with Matt Murdock

Among all the villains and foes confronted by Matt Murdock, Muse holds a special place since he is no ordinary gangster or criminal. He has superhuman powers at his disposal. His enmity with Murdock encompasses the entireity of the narrative, because Murdock takes it upon himself to solve the mystery of the murder murals as brought into existence by Muse.

Muse further acts as an agent of destruction at the service of Wilson Fisk, who uses him to outlaw vigilantes like Murdock and Blindspot.

Daredevil: Born Again is exclusively available on Disney+.
