What is ahead for Nyla after her warning to Liam in The Rookie Season 7?

The Rookie Season 7's latest episode saw Nyla realizing that it was Liam who the team was looking for and the person who had already confessed.

However, since they have the confession now, it would be difficult for her to take any action against Liam because she doesn't have any evidence. In an interview with TVInsider, Mekia Cox opens up on what is next for Nyla after she learns that Liam was the one who attacked her:

“After having something so traumatic happen to her, she is now jolted into action...She’s smart, so she knows she can’t, but there’s a part of her that just wants revenge.''

She added:

“There’s a part of her that just wants him behind bars immediately, but she knows that if she does not take the right steps and do this in the right way, that there’s no way he’s going behind bars and he could do this again and she does not want that.”

Cox also hinted that Nyla's obsession to prove Liam is the killer will also affect her relationship with James in the upcoming episodes:

''She’s trying to figure out what the best thing is to do...there is a relationship that comes to a head surrounding the two of them {in the next episode}.”
