The fifth episode of Love is Blind: Argentina aired on Netflix on November 13, 2024. It was part of the second batch of episodes released on the platform. The segment features how engaged couples who decided to move forward in the social experiment advance to the next phase, i.e. living together.
Before that, the engaged participants were sent to Tulum to spend more time with their partners and get to know each other better. After connecting emotionally and intellectually, they were supposed to explore their physical connection.
While doing that, one of the couples on Love is Blind: Argentina, Florfi, and Tom, had various discussions about how they felt about "marriage and commitment."
In her private confessional, Florfi shared,
"To be honest, I feel like, uhm, you know, we're going to be standing at the altar soon. And imagining that, it still feels like it'll be a lot of pressure."
Love is Blind: Argentina - Florfi and Tom open up about marriage and commitment
Love is Blind: Argentina Season 1 Episode 5 featured engaged couples, one of which was Florfi Frers, 27, and Tom Martorello, 27. On their last day together during the honeymoon phase, Florfi confessed that she felt "very safe" and "really at ease" with her partner, Tom.
"Like, with every step we take together, and how we're talking about everything, how we're opening up about our feelings. So, at this point I have no complaints," confessed Florfi.
Further in the segment, when Florfi and Tom went to spend time with fellow engaged couples, they shared views about marriage and other things. Florfi opened up and shared how she had felt since the first day in the pods.
As Florfi opened up, she shared with everyone that she had had a "really nice" connection with Tom since the first day. She pointed out that, at no point throughout the social experiment had she felt afraid, only "nice."
However, further she opened up and shared about a conflict,
"The only possible "conflict" we may run into, the future is figuring out if we are true to say "I do" when that moment comes, and we're at the altar. That's the only thing I'm afraid of. That moment when we really have to ask each other, "Are we ready to turn this into a marriage?""
When Mauricio asked about the possible "point of conflict," Florfi said it was "just time" they'd spent together.
After learning what Florfi shared about commitment and getting married, Tom confessed that he wasn't aware of what Florfli felt "uncomfortable" about or if she could not share something.
Love is Blind: Argentina star also confessed about knowing how Florfi struggles with the "idea of commitment,"
"I do know that she struggles with the idea of commitment, and she told me that it makes her hesitate sometimes in relationships. But I just want to stay in the present because now is not the time to worry about that. Way too early."
While advancing to the experiment's next phase, Tom revealed that the "honeymoon" phase allowed them to learn more about each other. He referred to that as a "romantic getaway" and "absolutely incredible."
Florfi confessed that she could learn more about Tom and learned that Tom was a "long-term" partner for her, with whom she could be honest "at all times." She added that if he could be "totally honest" with her, everything would work out between the two "just fine."
Love is Blind: Argentina's fifth episode also showed how the couple started living together as part of the next phase, and Florfi introduced Tom to her mother over a video call.
